«Create a Memorable Event» Series - Final look-through

 

Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel yet? You’re almost there…you just need to give proper attention to these last details and your event is a GO!

Before you can check every item off your “To-do-before-the-party-starts” checklist you’ll need to deal with “minor” logistical items such as:

  • paper products / stationary*

  • layout / seating*

  • favors*

  • emergency kit*

  • all the DIY aspects of your event if you’re going that rout*

  • creating a website* (if applicable, like a wedding website)

And now for the all-important checklist (for not at-home parties).

  • Check in with the venue owners/managers to confirm the date and time so everything will be ready to begin setup

  • Call participating vendors to double check on equipment, (if needed test it),

    • catering,

    • accommodations,

    • car services etc.

  • Create a final schedule handout / timeline / information (company names, project manager names, phone numbers etc.) for all major participants so they can coordinate by themselves

  • Set up decorations, favors, tablescape etc

  • Check in with volunteers / helpers (if you’re bringing on extra help) for their individual tasks

  • Pay attention to yourself - rest, refresh, beautify, (don’t forget to change clothes if you were participating in the set up), ready yourself for your guests (you absolutely deserve a glass of wine!), set the mood (music) and smile.

There you go. You made it!
