A night to remember

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends.
— Corinthians 13:4-8

The last day of August, 2019 wasn’t just another hot and sunny summer day in Athens. After a whole year of dreaming, envisioning, organizing and implementing your wedding-plans it was the day of your wedding.

It was the culmination of not only the year you spent planning, but also of the relationship you nurtured into the forever-kind-of-love.

You wore a stunning bridal gown, your hair and make-up classy and elegant. You got ready surrounded by family and friends and you gave importance to holding up traditions like writing unmarried girls’ names onto the sole of your bridal shoe, giving a gift to your flower-girls, pageboys, letting your mom “bling you up”.

You never lost your smile, not when “too many” people were around, not when time was “running out”. But your smile was never more bright, never more radiant and beautiful but when you got out of the car at the stairs of the church and faced your future husband waiting for you with the biggest, happiest smile on his own face.

In a moving and inspirational ceremony you tide your heart to the heart of the One, who already LOVED YOU FOR A THOUSAND YEARS AND WILL LOVE YOU FOR A THOUSAND MORE…

And then the much-anticipated reception. A beautiful venue that provided the backdrop for the celebration that close to 400 people had the joy to attend. From the foyer and terrace, where your guests could write in your memory book, sample hors d'oeuvres, sweets and refreshments to the garden-lawn where the round tables were set up so beautifully for the feast that was to come, to the menu itself, to the dance floor, the sound and light systems, to the open bar with signature cocktails, every detail was tastefully and carefully realized.

Your introduction / grand entry as Mr. and Mrs. was a production of epic proportions. Music, fireworks, light-show, you and your husband descending from the top of the stairs with all eyes turned toward you two. Champagne and toasts, smiles, cheering and clapping all around. Real euphoria!

And all the “firsts” of that night as husband and wife… a bubbly toast to thank everybody for sharing in your joy and celebration; a charming dance that was also a serenade and a delightful and smooth dip to a Hollywood kiss, just like in the movies.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your celebration and for an unforgettable night! I couldn't be happier to call you both family. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you two … enough.

~ I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye. ~
