Summer projects

To round up summer and start the new school year off good (and cos both my girls have name days in September) I baked 6 dozen cupcakes and made with the help of the girls as many not-so-little milk carton treat-holders to house the cupcakes (we needed so many because except schoolmates they treated the teachers and the dance-class too).

Sibling love

Sibling love is a tricky thing. Mystical to those who are an only child; raging with jealousy/rivalry or kind and comforting and everything in between for the siblings themselves; a "playfield" for psychologists.  Sibling love is incomprehensible because it's different for every "pair" of sibling but it's also an unquestionable fact because we FEEL it throughout our lives. Through time, it changes and evolves like we as individuals do. (Thank heavens cos otherwise my brother would be still pulling my hair and I'd be still jealous of him! )

Thank You For The Music

In my family music always played an important role. I went to a music-oriented school from the very beginning till graduation; played the piano and was singing in the school's choir. I got to see half of Europe with that choir and loved every second of singing with others together whether it was in a church, by a camp-fire or a concert-hall! My older daughter falling in my footsteps also plays the piano and is singing in the Children's Choir of Kodaly Conservatory in Athens, Greece

Beckie's gift

When a common/mutual cause (fandom, goal, love for something) brings new people into your life you  nurture the new-found relationship and you find yourself after a while calling those people FRIENDS. The last three years I've "met"  brilliant people -authors, mainly through reading their stories and fellow readers- and connected with them through twitter and other social media etc. I've come to cherish and love them despite the possibility of never having the chance to meet them in person!
